Margaret Louise Sanders, 91, of Arthur, died at 7:45 AM Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Mason Point, rural Sullivan.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Rev. Dawn Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in the Humboldt Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 9:00-10:00 AM at the funeral home.

Margaret was born May 21, 1923 in Garrett, the daughter of Omar Dale and Ada Bernice Younger Alcorn. She was united in marriage to James Marvin Sanders on Feb. 19, 1966 in Champaign.

Survivors include her husband, James Marvin Sanders of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy; son, Everett Dale (Connie) McElroy of Champaign; daughter, Gwen (Jerry) Ray of Arthur; grandsons, Justin (Lisa) Ray of Arthur; Bradley (Amy) McElroy of Champaign; granddaughter, Shelby Ray of Oswego; sister, Natica Paulina Hunt of Arcola; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Alcorn.

Margaret was a graduate of Rantoul High School and attended the University of Illinois. She was a member of the Vine Street Christian Church and also the Order of the Eastern Star.
