Margaret A. Kamm, 64, of rural Atwood, IL, passed away at 2:39 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO
Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL, with Rev. Dennis Hanner officiating. No Visitation will be held. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Atwood, IL is handling the arrangements.
Margaret was born on April 11, 1950 in Tuscola, IL, the daughter of John Edgar and Phyllis A. VonLanken Hendrickson. She married Howard W. Kamm on February 23, 1969 at the Zion Church, rural Arthur, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are her daughters: Melissa Kamm of Mattoon and Kimberly (Shawn) Robinson of Atwood, granddaughter: Riley Robinson and her brother: Gary Hendrickson of Pattaya, Thailand.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials are suggested to Riley Robinson Education Fund or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Margaret worked as the store manager at several different clothing stores at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Tuscola. She and her mother operated the Family Shoppe in Atwood for many years. Margaret was well known for making custom wedding dresses and for making a special doll each year for the Atwood Apple Dumpling Festival. She enjoyed crocheting, painting and cooking. Margaret was a former 4-H leader. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and Home Extension Group.
She loved being a "Fulltime Grandma" to her granddaughter: Riley, whom she loved very much.
