Marcella Marie McCallister, 76, of Pana, died at 5:20 AM Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at the Fieldon United Church of Christ with Pastor Barb Alley officiating. Burial will follow in the Fieldon Cemetey. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service at the church. Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marcella was born Sept. 15, 1936 in Fieldon, the daughter of Albert and Freda Hamilton Krueger. She married Lyndle "Shorty" McCallister, Sr. in Fieldon on June 13, 1964; he preceded her in death on May 12, 2002.

Survivors include 2 sons, Lyndle (Jami) McCallister, Jr. of Gillespie; Michael (Tracy) McCallister of Langlyville; 3 daughters, Lisa (Marion) Warfel of Dieterich; Michelle (Kenny) Kaiser of Pana; Sharon (David) Roberts of Canton, Missouri; brother, Donald Krueger of Waterloo; 3 sisters, Phyllis (Roger) Spurgeon of Waterloo; Karen Krueger of Alton; Cristal (Benji) Dehner of Jerseyville; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

Marcella was a retired school bus driver for the Pana School District. She was a member of the Fieldon United Church of Christ. She loved to crochet; spend time with her grandchildren; was a St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan; and an Illini basketball fan.
