M. Jane Wood, 82, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 6:24 a.m., Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Arbor Rose of Arcola, Arcola, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Tuscola United Methodist Church, 901 North Prairie Street, Tuscola, IL. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola, IL is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Jane was born on November 21, 1935 in Indiana. Her parents were Carl and Ruth Gates Henning. She married James S. Wood on May 8, 1954 at Rockville, IN. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2016.

Survivors include her daughter: Sue (Gene) Alcorn of Tuscola, son: Andy (Cindy) Wood of Tuscola, grandchildren: Brian (Chris) Alcorn, Jason (Holly) Mills, Kyle Mills, Jamie (Dale) Rossan, Christian Wood and Courtney Wood, 8 great-grandchildren and brother: Jim (Kathie) Henning of Nashville, TN

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jane worked as a secretary for many years at the University of Illinois College of Business prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church, Tuscola Women's Club and the Red Hat Society. She loved traveling, playing Bingo, cooking, baking, coloring, watching birds and flower gardening.

Jane especially loved her dog "Muffin" and spending time with her grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola United Methodist Church.
