Lyman Perry Meyers, Jr., 90, of Arthur, formerly of Arcola, died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2017 at his residence in Arthur.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with Rev. Bruce Weiman officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Lyman was born April 15, 1927 in Humboldt, the son of Lyman Perry and Bertha Rowena (Smith) Meyers, Sr. He married Lorna Maye Shewhart in Filson on June 25, 1950.

Survivors include his wife, Lorna Meyers of Arthur; 2 sons, Richard Meyers of Atwood; Michael Meyers of Arthur; granddaughters, Emily Meyers and Mallory Washburn both of San Tan Valley, Arizona; great granddaughters Adaline and Magdalene; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, William, Eunice, and Alice.

Lyman served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Arthur United Methodist Church and retired from U.S.I. Chemical Corp. in Tuscola.
