Obituary
Lula Frances Hausmann, 83, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 2:05 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, with her family at her side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL with Fr. Delix Michel officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola is handling the arrangements.
Lula was born on December 26, 1931 at 6:00 a.m. in Oakland, IL, the daughter of Fred and Fay (Davis) Jones. She married Bernard Anthony Hausmann on June 10, 1950 in Tuscola. He passed away on August 11, 2009.
She is survived by her 4 children: Linda Watkins and husband John of Tuscola, Fred Hausmann and wife Becky of Atwood, Becky Chappell and husband Dean of Decatur and John Hausmann and wife Kimberly of Bryan, TX; 7 grandchildren: Dena Kidwell and husband Nick, Carrie Faciszewski and husband Jason, Chad Hausmann and wife Tina, Jason Hausmann, Kelly Zoellner and husband Troy, Sara Vanagas and husband Brian and Johnathon Hausmann and 9 great-grandchildren.
Lula was preceded in death by her parents, brother: John Jones and great-granddaughter: Olivia Kidwell.
She was a member of Forty Martyrs Catholic Church while living in Tuscola and St. Mary of the Assumption in Neoga while living on Lake Mattoon. She was a member of the Altar Society where she served as President.
She was a homemaker. Her hobbies included dancing, camping, traveling, crocheting and fishing. Lula was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She was incredibly proud of her grandchildren and actively supported many of their activities.
The family would like to thank Tuscola Health Care Center and Harbor Light Hospice for the care they gave our mother.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lula's name may be made to the Resident Activity Fund at the Tuscola Health Care Center or Harbor Light Hospice.
