Lucille Fairow, 93, formerly of Oblong, IL, passed away at 4:10 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL

Lucille was born on February 27, 1929 in Cleburne, IL, the daughter of William and Roxie Hunt Morgan. She married Robert Scott Fairow, Sr. on June 20, 1953 in Evanston, IL. He survives.

Also surviving are her children: Robert Scott Fairow, Jr., Cynthia Annette (Dave) Fairow, Herbert Clinton (Deborah) Fairow and Micheal Scott Fairow, grandchildren: Aimee, Michelle, Christen, Sabrina and Jayd, great-grandchildren: Nola and Mikey.

She was preceded in death by her parents,

Lucille received her bachelor's degree from SIU and her master's degree in education from EIU. She was an elementary school teacher for many years.

She was a member of the Oblong First Baptist Church and she enjoyed quilting.
