Louise Dick, 76, of Champaign, IL, formerly of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 3:00 AM, Monday, January 2, 2006 at the Care Centre of Champaign, Champaign, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 7, 2005 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Brent K. Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.

Mrs. Dick was born on June 8, 1929 in Tuscola, IL, the daughter of Clarence Wiley and Ruth Ann Piper Rogers. She married Leslie C. "Les" Dick on January 30, 1954 in Villa Grove, IL. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2004.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Janice Smith and husband: Charles L. "Chuck" of Howell, MI, Darla Long and husband: Darrell of Tolono, IL, 4 Grandchildren: Candice Leslie Smith of East Lansing, MI, Chad Smith of Howell, MI, Dustin and Darci Long both of Tolono, IL, 1 Sister: Esther Anderson of Valparaiso, IN, and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 Son: Kevin Dick, 1 Brother: Charles Rogers, 1 Sister: Eithel Rude

Mrs. Dick was a member of the Tuscola United Church of Christ. Being a Girl Scout leader was an important interest of Louise's for many years. She was very interested in genealogy and was a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution.
Most of Louise's life was spent as a housewife and mother. She enjoyed traveling to antique shops and flea markets with her husband. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed historical fiction and learning about railroad lore and the practices of various cultures.
