Obituary
Louise A. Chumbley, 84, of Arcola, died at 5:45 AM Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with Rev. Donald Winch officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
Louise was born September 14, 1928 in Clinton, the daughter of Phillip and Alberta Barnett Bogardus. She married Herman Chumbley on July 27, 1948 in Jefferson, Indiana; he preceded her in death on March 4, 2003.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Carrie) Chumbley of Jonesboro, Arkansas; 3 daughters, Mary Madlem of Arcola; Deborah (Dennis) Hite of Henderson, Nevada; Nancy(Dale) Knearem of Hindsboro; 3 sisters, Jacqui (Tom) McKibben of Neoga; Jill (Bill) Morgan of Mattoon; Kay (Phillip) Gover of Jenks, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by 3 sisters.
Louise was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and crafts.
