Louis George "Bud" Badger, 87, of Mascoutah, IL, formerly of Atwood, IL, died at 2:06 PM, Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Mar-Ka Nursing Home, Mascoutah, IL

Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL, with military graveside rites. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL.

Mr. Badger was born on February 22, 1918 in Charleston, Indiana, the son of Jesse Edward and Helena Groskurd Badger. He married Lola Mary Conner on September 30, 1939 in Terre Haute, IN. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2005.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: Louis George Badger, Jr. of Murdock, IL, James Thomas Badger of Mesa, AZ, 5 Daughters: Nancy Darlene Minnick of Arizona, Judy Badger of Belleville, IL, Renee Garza of Atwood, IL, Mary Fern Brady of Mattoon, IL, Lisa Harvey of Belleville, IL, 1 Sister: Eva Evans of Otisco, IN, 22 Grandchildren, 1 Step-Granddaughter, 37 Great-Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 Sisters

Memorials are suggested to: Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association

Mr. Badger retired from Quantum-USI Chemical Company, Tuscola, IL in 1984. He was a member of the United Church of Atwood and the James Reeder American Legion Post #770, Atwood, IL. He was a US Army Veteran having served his country during World War II. He was a former volunteer fireman for the Village of Atwood.
