Loretta M. Murphy, formerly of Tuscola, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in Friendswood, TX

Per her wishes, no services will be held.

She was born on August 7, 1936 in Tuscola, the daughter of Dean and Dorothy McGuire Hilligoss. She married Jack H. "Pete" Murphy of Arcola. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2015.

Survivors include her son: Mark H. Murphy and wife Pam of Tuscola, 3 grandchildren and their children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Stephen J.  Murphy and brother: Jim Hilligoss.

Loretta received a master's degree from Eastern Illinois University and was a special education teacher in Arcola, IL,  LaPorte, TX and Friendswood, TX. After retirement, she enjoyed being a real estate agent for O'Farrell Real Estate in Friendswood, TX.

She was very much loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials are suggested to the Friendswood United Methodist Church, Friendswood, TX.
