Lois Y. West

Lois Y. West, 96, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Monday morning, April 20, 2026 at the Arc at Hickory Point, Forsyth, IL.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL. No visitation will be held.

Lois was born on March 28, 1930 in Pierson, IL, the daughter of Troy and Laverne Jones. She married Willie Clifton West on April 22, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2010.

Survivors include her brother: Arnold L. (Sue) Jones of Pierson and 4 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Wayne R. Jones and Carl L. Jones.

Lois retired from Illinois Power Company, where she worked for over 40 years. She was a member of the Morningside Church of Christ in Decatur. Lois and her husband enjoyed camping and going on bus trips traveling across the United States. She enjoyed visiting with her family, neighbors and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Morningside United Church of Christ.
