Lois Fay Northway, 83, of Tuscola, IL, peacefully departed this world to go to her eternal heavenly home on Wednesday afternoon, June 7, 2017.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.

Following the visitation, private family graveside services will be held at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, with Rev. Kenneth Roedder officiating

Lois was born on July 28, 1933 in Arcola, IL, the daughter of Byron and Edna Martin Kittell. She married her true love Delbert Fay Northway on July 29, 1949 in Oakwood, IL. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1962.

Lois worked at Douglas Manor in Tuscola as a laundry aide for several years. Through the years she would clean homes, babysit or do ironing to help make a living for her four beloved children.

She was a member of the Tuscola First Christian Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Lois loved spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite pastime was to embroider pillow cases, doilies and tablecloths. She loved to read and play card games.

Lois is survived by two sons: Delbert Daniel Northway of Tolono and David A. Northway and wife: Rose of Beecher City, three grandsons and a granddaughter, three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Dale Ray Northway and daughter: Alice Northway Duggins.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or to the Tuscola First Christian Church.
