Lois Mae Martin, 90, of Arthur, died at 11:05 PM Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Arthur Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Rev. John Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
Lois was born April 1, 1922 in Atwood the daughter of Harry and Cubanola Larimore Black. She married John W. Martin in Bourbon on November 15, 1941; he preceded her in death on July 1, 2006.
Survivors include 2 sons, Arthur J. Martin and wife Linda of Vancouver, Washington; Gregory Martin of Illinois; daughter, Shirley Vollmer of Urbana; 2 brothers, Howard Black of Sullivan; Roy Gene Black of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and 2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Lois was a member of the First Baptist Church of Arthur and had operated a dog grooming business in her home for 20 years.
Memorials are suggested the Arthur Home, 423 Eberhardt Drive, Arthur, IL 61911.
