Linda Kay Parkhurst, 79, of Mattoon, died at 6:02 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her residence.

There will be a private family service at a later date. Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born June 12, 1941 in Mattoon, the daughter of Frank and Ruth Luellen Lockhart.

Survivors include 4 children, Cathy Swithin of California; Tony Parkhurst of New Mexico; Mike (Donna) Parkhurst of Mattoon; Patty (Dale) Perry of Mattoon; sister, Judy (John) Karpus of Mattoon; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in deathy by her parents.

Linda formerly worked as a receptionist at Provena Hospital in Joliet. She was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church, Mattoon Eagles Club, and Mattoon Moose Club.  She also was a volunteer at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.

She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family.
