Linda D. McElroy, 78, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 6:49 a.m., Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Les Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Linda was born on September 4, 1940 in Tuscola, IL, the daughter of Earle V. and Ruth E. Bouck Burress. She married Paul Dean McElroy on January 24, 1970 in Tuscola. He survives.

Also surviving is her mother of Tuscola, daughter: Paula M. (Joseph) McElroy-Stawicki of Monee, IL, sons: Ron (Janet) McElroy of Hillsboro, IL, Rob (Tawny) McElroy of Springfield, IL and Roger (Kay) McElroy of Bunker Hill, IL, daughter-in-law: Genece McElroy of Nokomis, IL, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters,  sister: Susan Adkisson of Tuscola and nephew: Derek "Tag" Adkisson of Romeoville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her father: Earle Vincent Burress and Randy McElroy.

Linda was a homemaker. She graduated from Tuscola Community High School and Illinois Commercial College. She was a member of the Tuscola First Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
