Obituary
Lillian M. Garrett, 91, of Atwood, IL passed away at 7:15 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home, Mattoon, IL.
Funeral and Rebekah Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL with Dr. Lanny Faulkner officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.
Mrs. Garrett was born March 12, 1923 in Bourbon Township, Douglas County, Illinois the daughter of Hans and Elizabeth Ernst Stolly. She married Eugene Garrett on March 22, 1941 in Fort Wayne, IN. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1970.
Lillian is survived by her sons: David Garrett of Lovington, IL and Merle Garrett of Atwood, IL; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Kathy Shoulders, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
Mrs. Garrett was a cook at the University of Illinois, Paris Nursing Home, Dixie Truck Stop and the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home. She was a member of the Atwood First Baptist Church and the Rebekah Lodge.
