Liesette Lavon Moody, 99, of Lovington, formerly of Atwood, went home to heaven Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola.
Services will be l0:00 a.m. Monday in Hilligoss-Shrader Funeral Home, 66 E US Hwy. 36, Atwood, with visitation one hour before the services. Burial will be in Arthur Cemetery, Arthur. Memorials: Friendship Hill Retirement Home or
First Baptist Church of Atwood.
Mrs. Moody was born on July 3, 1908 in Douglas County, daughter of Horace P. and Daisy (Starr) Harshbarger.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Atwood. She married Vern "Jack" Moody on October 26, 1927. He passed away on August 16, 1986.
Surviving are sons, Donald of Tuscola and Robert (Shirley) of Salem; daughters, Doris (James) Gregory) and Betty (Ken) Hug, both of Atwood; brother, Earl Harshbarger of Atwood; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded by parents, husband, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
