Leroy C. Harting, 78, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 6:35 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2014 with his wife and daughter by his side at Carriage Crossing, Arcola, IL
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Smith House, 400 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.
Leroy was born on March 4, 1936 in Chickasha, OK, the son of Cliifford and Velma Bartley Harting. He married Betty G. Bartley on May 24, 1958 in Tuscola, IL. She survives.
Also surviving is his daughter: Pam (Eugene) Sanders of Tuscola and brother: Leslie DeWayne Harting of Midwest City, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter: Amy Cruzan, sister: Neoma Hackett and in-laws: Clive and Eva Bartley.
Leroy retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company, where he worked as an equipment analyst, retiring in 1990. He served his country in the US Army. Leroy loved fishing, gardening and tinkering.
