Leota M. Grayhem, 91, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 10:10 a.m., Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Don Gerkin officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL
Mrs. Grayhem was born on September 20, 1918 in Benton, IL, the daughter of Elmer and Velma Connor Furlow. She married Ronald D. Grayhem on June 15, 1935. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1987.
Survivors include her daughters: Donna Asmus of Flora Home, FL, Sandra Carr of Atwood, IL, Reba Bennett of Villa Grove, IL, 11 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren, 9 Great-Great-Grandchildren and a brother: Lem Smith of Atwood, IL.
She was preceded by her parents.
Memorials are suggested to the Atwood Christian Church.
Leota was a homemaker and member of the Atwood Christian Church. She loved working with her flowers, cooking and sewing. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family.
