Leona N. Cuppy, 98, of Arcola died at 8:48 AM Friday, January 10, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her children.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, January 13, 2014 at Kemp Church of Christ, Kemp, with Revs. Dick Miller and Ty Nicol officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Sunday at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola.

Mrs. Cuppy was born April 19, 1915 in Charleston, the daughter of Roy V. and Barsha Taylor McNabb. She was united in marriage to Lawrence E. Cuppy on August 8, 1935 in Charleston; he preceded her in death on April 28, 1997.

Survivors include her son, Steve Cuppy of Arcola; daughter, Sharon (Roland) Spomer of Tuscola; 3 grandchildren, Carolyn (Troy) Wolfe of Henning; Brian (Kristine) Marler of Atwood; Elizabeth (Phil) Smith of Champaign; 5 great grandchildren, Christina, Dustin, Heather, Stephen, and Wyatt; and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

Mrs. Cuppy was a homemaker and member of the Kemp Church of Christ. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was creative, a pretty fair carpenter, and generous to a fault.

Memorials are suggested to Kemp Church of Christ or Carle Hospice of Urbana.
