Obituary
Lela G. McCollum, 92, of Pana, formerly of Arthur, passed away at 6:44 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Heritage Manor in Pana.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Pastor Jerry Ray officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery.
Lela was born October 23, 1922 in Shelby County, the daughter of Milton A. and Polly Isabelle Pritchard Smith. She married Russell C. McCollum on February 25, 1942 in Tower Hill. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1993.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Jim McCollum and wife Kay of Atwood; Mark McCollum and wife Anita of Arthur; daughter, Nancy Jones and husband Harry of Tower Hill; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Lela attended the Arthur Southern Baptist Church. She was a cook at the Arthur Home.
