Larry Murry, 73 of rural Tuscola, IL, passed away at 3:07 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL surrounded by his family members and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Larry was born on August 8, 1951 in DuQuoin, IL, the son of William "Bill" and Martha "Jean" Minor Murry. He married Vida Jean McCarthy on November 30, 1974 in Waltonville, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his children: Karen (Mike) Rueckert of Rantoul, Caleb Murry of Tuscola and Jenna Murry of Safety Harbor, FL, grandchildren: Mike Murphy, Julian Murphy and Mia Murry, 9 great-grandchildren and sisters: Janet LaCombe of O'Fallon, MO and Teresa Bolten of Kyle, TX
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Willa Jean Dorsey and brother: Terry Lynn Murry.

Larry worked as a Department Manager for Walmart in Mattoon and Urbana for 23 years. He enjoyed being outdoors. Larry loved to go racoon hunting, fishing and playing video games.

He was a Boy Scout Leader and member of the Lion's Club. Larry was a Little League coach and enjoyed coaching and playing softball.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Illinois Wildlife Federation.
