Kiva L. Houser, 68, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 11:26 A.M., Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at her residence.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Friday, February 8, 2008 at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Rural Palestine, IL with the Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M., Thursday, February 7, 2008 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.
Mrs. Houser was born on March 9, 1939 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Warren and Mary Brashears Hawkins. She married James E. Houser on June 1, 1957 in Palestine, IL. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2006.
Survivors include: 1 Son: David W. Houser and wife: Marcia of Glen Ellyn, IL, 2 Grandsons: Nicholas & Eric Houser, 1 Brother: Earl Hawkins of Palestine, IL,
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Donor's Choice.
Kiva was a retired office administrator, having worked for the Hillard Agency and for Tuscola Builders both located in Tuscola, IL. She was an avid sports fan and she enjoyed spending time with her two grandsons. Condolences to the family may be sent to hilligossshraderfh.com
