Kevin Duane Von Lanken, 59, passed away at his home in Orlando Florida on April 20, 2015. Kevin was born November 3, 1955 to George Duane and Melba Von Lanken in Urbana, Illinois. Kevin was a member of Boy Scout Troop 123, at St John's Methodist Church in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and selected for Order of the Arrow. He graduated from Hopkinsville High School and the University of Kentucky with a BA in Business Administration. . He was employed as a certified Data Processor and Systems Analyst. He was an avid photographer, and outdoorsman with a love of motorcycles, and diving. He was a NRA certified Firearms Instructor, and served as a Florida Hunter Safety Instructor.
He is greatly missed by his parents, as well as his sister Carol, and brothers Kent and Chris.
Visitation will be 2-2:45 p.m. at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, Illinois on Saturday, July 11 , 2015 Burial will follow in Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery, rural Arthur, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross whom along with many friends, helped Kevin when his home burned several years ago.
