Kevin Casey Allen, the sixth of eight children born to James L. and LaVerne Ohley Allen,
passed to eternal life on Friday, October 21, 2011, at Mt. Aloysius, his home in New Lexington,Ohio.

He was born December 22, 1956, in Tuscola, IL, and was named for the family's parish priest, Fr. James Kevin Casey. Both parents and his sister Stefanie preceded him in death.

An employee of Fairfield Industries and PerCo, Inc. for many years, Kevin also competed often in Special Olympics and loved swimming, dancing, music and the WWF. He was a gentle man with a great sense of humor and lived most of his life at Mt. Aloysius, where he was well loved by the residents, staff and administration alike. For several years he lived at Community House outside Lancaster, Ohio, and he was cherished there as well.

Winkler of West Fork, AR; Dyrck Allen of Franklin, OH; Cecilia Allen (Roger Blakley) of Urbana, IL; Camille (Randy) Carlz of Bettendorf, IA; and Gabrielle (Tony) Martin of Champaign, IL; and 12 nieces and nephews: Heidi (Brian) McFarland of Birmingham, AL; Jeff (Laura) Hettinger of Plano,TX; Kurt (Katherine) Hettinger of Auburn, AL; Jeffrey Winkler of West Fork, AR; Lillian Winkler of Fayetteville, AR; Damon (Camille) Allen of Dobson, NC; Anna (Mark) Moellering of Washington, IL; Kate (Brian) Moody of Tuscola, IL; Ryan Carlz of Waterloo, IA; Jonathan Carlz of Bettendorf, IA; Justin (Angie) Martin of Champaign, IL and AJ (Trish) Martin of Charleston, IL, in addition to 15 great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Aloysius on Sunday, October 30, 2011. Burial will be in Tuscola Township Cemetery at 11:00 am on Monday, October 31, 2011.
