Kent Eugene Kibler, 73, of Urbana, IL, passed away at 8:32 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Crystal Lake Park Boat House Upper Deck, 206 West Park Street, Urbana, IL

Kent was born on September 8, 1939 in Urbana, IL, the son of Oren and Sylvia Staley Kibler. He married Shirley Drake. She preceded him in death on May 30, 1996. He married Phyllis Rollins Basham. She preceded him in death on October 24, 2011.

Survivors include his children: Sharilyn Kibler-Russell of Tuscola, Penny Kibler-Benner of Atwood, Scott Kibler and wife: Tina of Tuscola, step-children: James Basham of Urbana, Glen Basham, Jr. of Kentucky, Connie Miller of Tampa, FL, Kathy Zimmerman and Karen Deaville both of Urbana, IL, grandchildren: David Anderson, Sylvia Kibler, Delbert Anderson, Kyler Kibler, Jack Kibler, Keagan Kibler, Jake Kibler, Zach Kibler, Michael Beckham, Autumn Beckham, Jeff Russell and Jennifer Russell, many step-grandchildren, sisters: Margie Burt of Huntsville, AL, Mary Cuppernell and Judy (Hugh) Connerty both of Decatur, IL, sister-in-law: Loretta Kibler
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Jodi Kibler-Beckham, sister: Kay Hopper and brother: Bill Kibler

Kent was a retired carpenter, having worked for Bash-Schrock Builders for over 30 years. His family was very important to him. He loved to fish, boat, canoe and attended garage sales and auctions. Kent was a member of the Steak & Shake Coffee Club in Urbana.
