Kenneth E. Ring, 78, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 1:10 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Barry Harmon officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2009 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Burial with military graveside rites will be held at the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
Kenny was born on October 10, 1930 in Champaign County, IL, the son of Andy and Reba Rutherford Ring. He married Mary C. Hausmann on April 3, 1951 at Forty Martyrs Catholic Church. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kenny began farming in the mid 1950's and continued until his recent retirement. He was a 1948 graduate of Tuscola Community High School and served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a perennial All Star in the EI Baseball League. Kenny served on the Scattering Fork Drainage Commission. His kids always credited their dad for their success in sports and horse back riding. Kenny was a former Little League coach and loved golf. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren's activities. Kenny loved spending time with all of his family members and friends.
