Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Collins, 77, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 8:55 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2015 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Atwood, 231 North Illinois Street, Atwood, IL with Pastor Matthew Sawyer and Dr. Lanny Faulkner officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 at the church. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Atwood, IL is entrusted with the arrangements.

Kenny was born on March 31, 1938 in Bement, IL, the son of Woodrow and Luta (Faye) Sanders Collins. He married Selma Mae Ginder on June 22, 1957 in Arthur, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his children: Catherine (Gary) Kaalberg of Tolono, Brenda (Bob) Bialeschki of Atwood and Wayne (Rhonda) Collins of Champaign, grandchildren: Chad (Leslie) Hinton, Erica (Jared) Richords, Andrea (Matt) Pavelski, Ryan Wheeler, Matt (Chelsea) Sawyer, Heather (DJ Domsky) Smith, Austin Bialeschki and Bailey Bialeschki, 12 great-grandchildren, brother: John Collins of Rantoul and sister: Evelyn Carrillo of Atwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kenny graduated from Barber College in Decatur, IL. He barbered at Chanute Air Force base in Rantoul and had his own shop in Fisher for many years prior to moving to Atwood. He owned and operated his barber shop from his home in Atwood for many years. Kenny also worked as a highway maintainer for the State of Illinois, retiring in October 1999.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atwood and the River Valley Church of Christ in Fisher, IL. Kenny loved going to auctions, bowling and doing yard work.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids.
