Obituary
Kenneth E. Ducker, Sr., 76, of Sullivan, formerly of Mattoon, died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Pastor Francis Farney officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service.
Kenneth was born May 6, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Earl and Grace Craig Ducker. He married Joy Lou Kingery in Covington, Indiana on February 14, 1959.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Ducker of Mattoon; 3 sons, Kenneth Ducker II of Lake City, Florida; Chris Ducker of Palestine,Texas; Nathan Ducker of Dallas,Texas; daughter, Melody Hovious and husband Kevin of Mattoon; stepson, John Arthur of Allenville; 7 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, 2 grandsons and 8 siblings.
Kenneth owned and operated several trucking companies in California. He was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Sullivan and the Masonic Lodge in Athens, Texas.
He served in the U.S.Air Force.
