Keith S. Hunt, 71, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 11:45 pm, Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Highlands Regional Hospital, Sebring, Florida
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Barry Harmon officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm on Monday at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
Keith was born on October 11, 1938 in Cayuga, Indiana, the son of Russell Leroy and Mildred Marcella Wear Hunt. He married Sharon M. Schultz on May 14, 1960 in Tuscola, IL. She survives.
Other survivors include his children: Brian Hunt of Tuscola, Brad Hunt and wife: Chris of Tuscola, Beth Hunt of Tolono, Grandchildren: Jeremy Hunt of Champaign, Blake Hunt of Tuscola, Allison Stewart of Tolono, Dylan Stewart of Tuscola, Lauren Hunt and Ashley Hunt both of Tuscola. Great-Grandchildren: Noelle Hunt and Ty Hunt both of Champaign, Brothers: Phillip Hunt of Jasper, MO, Wayne Hunt of Mahomet, Sisters: Derys Harper of Champaign, Phyllis Wells of Sebring, FL and Linda Hudson of Camargo.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Doris Hunt
Memorials are suggested to a Hospice Unit of the Donor's Choice, Forty Martrys Catholic Church or Donor's Choice
Keith owned and operated Hunt Excavating, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, Sebring Moose Lodge, Sebring VFW, Mattoon IL Eagles and the Tuscola American Legion Post. Keith served his country as a member of the US Army Reserves.
