Kathy L. Danford, 65, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 1:45 am, Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Atwood, IL. Burial will be in the Murdock Cemetery, Murdock, IL
Kathy was born on April 10, 1947 in Murdock, IL, the daughter of George and Virginia Hardwick Harvey. She married Michael E. Danford on June 21, 2001 in Nashville, TN. He survives.
Other survivors include her daughters: Terri (Aaron) Burnett and Missy Hillard (Doug Cottle) both of Tuscola, IL, Tobein Douglas (Randall) of Mt. Vernon, IL, and Tracy McKay and fiance' (Randy) of Auburn, IL, grandchildren: Maegan Douglas, Austin Burnett, Maranda Douglas, Dalton McKay, Lucas Burnett, Hunter Douglas and Grace McKay.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Everett Dale Harvey and sister: Carol Lough
Memorials are suggested to the National Parkinson's Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
Kathy formerly worked as a waitress at Weaver's Café, Dixie Truck Stop and at the Dutch Oven. She was a member of the Cornerstone Fellowship. Kathy enjoyed playing the piano and accordion, attending Gaither concerts, watching Illini basketball games, attending church, spending time with her family and friends, especially spending time with her grandkids, going camping and she loved her pets.
