Kathleen L. Hornaday, 90 of Tuscola, IL, formerly of Savoy, IL, passed away at 12:13 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Les Evans officiating. No Visitation will be held.

Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL

Kathleen was born on February 5, 1928 in Manlius, IL, the daughter of Claude and Frieda Schuneman Barber. She married John A. Hornaday on August 12, 1949 in Manlius, IL. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2015.

Survivors include her children: Greg (Gayle) Hornaday of Henderson, NV, Brad (Terry) Hornaday of Tuscola and Allyson (Dave) Rotramel of Champaign, 7 grandchildren: Ryan, Brad, Lauren, Chad, Joel, Erik and Drew, 7 great-grandchildren: Hannah, Ben, David, Tytus, Noah, Leah and Roman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Willis Barber and sister: Marge Ray.

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola First Christian Church or Tuscola Health Care Center Activity Fund in appreciation for the loving care shown to Kathleen during her stay there.

Kathleen worked at the University of Illinois Educational Placement Office for 40 plus years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Champaign at Savoy and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines barbershop chorus. She attended the First Christian Church of Tuscola. She enjoyed traveling and raising red roses. Kathleen was a lovely Christian lady adored by her family and friends.
