Katherine M. Moore, 80, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 1:07 pm, Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Barry Harmon officiating. No Visitation will be held. Burial will be in the Bement Township Cemetery, Bement, IL
Mrs. Moore was born on February 24, 1931 in Mahnomen County, MN, the daughter of Henry and Mary Kuhl Jansen. She married Wm. "Dale" Moore on June 2, 1949 in Bement, IL. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2000.
Survivors include her children: Clifford Moore of Champaign, Brenda Moore of Tuscola and Dalene Brandenburg of Neoga, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters: Hilde Kampf of Atlanta, IL and Anna Floyd of Lovington, IL
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter and 2 sisters.
Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing. She formerly worked as a nurse's aid at Jarman Hospital in Tuscola for several years. Katherine worked as a housekeeper for 15 years. She was very supportive and shared her husband's enthusiasm for Blue Grass music.
