Karl H. Willms, 65, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023 at HSHS St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL. Burial will be in the Lake Fork Cemetery, rural Atwood.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Karl was born on June 11, 1957 in Decatur, the son of Loren R. and Erna M. Lange Willms.

Survivors include his son: Adam H. (Alexis) Willms of Boon, MI, grandchildren: Payton Willms, Cecilia Duggan and Elijah Willms, sister: Karen (Bill) Bade of Springfield, niece: Kristina (Chuck) Mazzarone of Wilmington, NC and nephew: Will "Ian" Bade, great-nephews: David and James Mazzarone.

He was preceded in death by parents and grandson: Cohen Willms.

Karl worked as a steel fabricator for Ornamental Metal Works in Decatur.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local VFW or American Legion Post.
