Obituary
Karen M. Downen, 73, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 4:30 a.m., Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Joe Carter officiating.
Ms. Downen was born August 28, 1944 in Clinton, IL, the daughter of John and Marie Azevedo.
Karen is survived by her son: Doug Maltby and wife: Thu of Plymouth, MN; daughter: Debra Howard of Urbana, IL and grandchildren: Anthony Street of Urbana, IL and Lucy Maltby of Plymouth, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Jimmy Azevedo.
Karen was a member of the Tuscola Church of the Nazarene. She was the owner and operator of the Tuscola and Arcola Dairy Queen for many years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Tuscola Church of the Nazarene, 1001 Egyptian Trail, Tuscola, IL 61953.
