Julie L. Weemer, 49, of Tuscola, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

Julie was born on September 19, 1968 in Champaign, IL, the daughter of George and Carol Cox Weemer.

She graduated from Tuscola Community High School in 1987. Julie worked 23 years at Tuscola IGA and was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling to Branson, watching sports and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her parents of Tuscola, brothers: Tom (Gilma) Weemer and Stephen (Megan) Weemer, nephews: Payton and Lucas, uncle: Tom Cox and aunt: Dorothy Davis.

Julie was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Tuscola United Methodist Church, 901 North Prairie Street, Tuscola, with Rev. Ted Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the TUMC Youth Group.
