Judith A. "Judy" Strole, 76, of Tuscola, IL, passed away Saturday morning, September 1, 2018 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Hillligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with Rev. Terri Haas officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Judy was born on July 17, 1942 in Mattoon, IL, the daughter of Harry E. Brinkley and Verda Jean Egelston. She was raised by her father and stepmother Josephine Brinkley. She married Bernard Eugene "Gene" Strole on December 3, 1960 in Gila, IL.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gene, her daughter, Deborah "Deb" Miller of Indianapolis, IN, son, Dan Strole and wife Torie of Champaign, IL. brother, Jeff Brinkley and wife Tara of Paris, IL and sister, Teresa Roberts and husband Gary of Indianapolis, IN.

Her beloved surviving grandchildren are Amy Miller Iddins, and husband Dan, Lindsay Miller, Kelsey Miller, Megan Strole, Connor Strole and Courtney Strole, and her adored great-granddaughter, Harper Claire Iddins.

She was preceded in death by her father, birth mother, and sister, Linda Karen Spraker Webb.

Judy graduated from Tuscola Community High School in 1960. She was a homemaker first but had many jobs such as running a daycare for preschool children, school bus driver, a retail clerk, and last worked as a custodian for many years at the Tuscola National Bank.

Judy was a very social person whom made friends easily. She was always willing to helping others. Her passions were shopping, saving strays, and spending time with family.

Judy was an avid cat and animal lover and helped start Hands-4-Paws as part of her passion to help animal. Also was a past member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the, Hands-4-Paws, American Cancer Society, or Tuscola United Methodist Church.
