Jorge Arguelles Franco, 51, of Champaign, formerly of Arcola, died at 9:47 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Arcola, with Rev. Fr. Angel Sierra as officiant. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 North Locust Street, Arcola.

Jorge was born January 24, 1967 in Cardereyta Jim N.L. Mexico, the son of Manuel Arguelles Tristan and Laurentina Franco Reyes. He married Martha Cruz Hernandez in Mexico on July 17, 1991.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Cruz Arguelles of Champaign; son, Jorge A. Arguelles of Champaign; 5 brothers, Luis Antoio Arguelles and his children Luis Carlos, and Alondra Arguelles of Mexico; Angel Arguelles and his children Luis Angel and Anna Lauren Angelles of Mexico; Hugo J. Arguelles and his child Andrea Arguelles of S. Carolina; Jaime Arguelles and his children Norma Cecilia and Bianca Arguelles of Arcola; Carlos Arguelles and his children Karla and Lezlie Arguelles of Arcola. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ruben Arguelles.
