Jordan Andrew "Petey" Scribner, 20, of Tuscola, IL, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Barry Harmon officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. A vigil service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.
Jordan was born on July 22, 1993 in Urbana, IL, the son of Tony R. and Linda E. Pankau Scribner.
Survivors include his parents of Tuscola, maternal grandparents: Harold and Martha Pankau of Tuscola, paternal grandmother: Janet R. Scribner of Champaign, brothers: Adam Scribner of Urbana, Jacob and Josh Scribner both of Tuscola, sisters: Elizabeth Scribner and fiancée Brad Ingram and Hannah Scribner both of Tuscola, niece: Makenna Scribner, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Jerry W. Scribner.
Jordan was a member of the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church and a 2012 graduate of Tuscola Community High School. He had attended Parkland College in Champaign, IL. Jordan worked as a line cook at the Denny's Restaurant in Tuscola.
He loved football, hunting, fishing, working on cars with his grandpa Pankau, playing with his niece Makenna and spending time with his family. Jordan always had a smile on his face and was very polite to everyone he met.
