Obituary
John T. Weese, 71, of Waco, Texas, formerly of Arcola, IL, died at 3:25 PM Friday, October 3, 2014 at Crestview Nursing Home, Waco, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM Friday at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola.
John was born August 27, 1943 in Clarksville, Texas, the son of James and Jessie Yates Weese. He married Mary Anne Dayspring in Cook County on February 14, 1969; she preceded him in death on May 2, 1993.
Survivors include one son, John Weese, Jr. of Sweetwater, Texas; 3 daughters, Robin (Tracy) Lilienthal of Normal, IL; Kelly (Craig) Bresley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Rebecca Melcer (Clay Childress) of Golinda, Texas; brother, Billy Weese of Longview, Texas; 3 sisters, Opal Roberson of Calvert, Texas, Mamie Emerson of Longview, Texas, Pam Henderson of Houston, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and special nephew, Dois (Rachel) Allen of Kankakee, IL; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by infant son, Jeffery Daniel Weese; 3 brothers, L.B., Colonel, and James Weese; and 1 sister, Mildred Mirkwalker.
John was a welder and a member of the Chicago Local #597. He loved to fish and loved to prepare BBQ brisquet.
