John E. Spencer, 69, of Pueblo West, CO, passed away on June 13, 2020.

He is survived by children, Stephanie (Mark) Rotramel of Evansville, IN and Robert Spencer of Pueblo West, CO; grandchildren, Nathan, Rebecca and Nicholas Rotramel; and siblings, Dennis (Ronda) Spencer and Brenda (Mike) Leon.

He was preceded in death by parents; and brother, Larry Spencer.

John was born to Wilbur and Geraldine Spencer on Feb. 19, 1951, in Tuscola, IL.  He graduated from Atwood-Hammond High School in 1969.  He was very active in sports, including an undefeated football team, and in student government.  After 9 years in the Navy, he became a nuclear engineer at Clinton Power station.  He coached youth sports, especially baseball and softball.  He eventually retired from Parsons Corp in 2019.  John loved the Chicago Cubs and his dog, Charlie.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Cartwright Cemetery, rural Tuscola, IL.
