John E. Pourchot, Jr., 80, of Mattoon, passed away at 11:20 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home, Mattoon, IL

Private family graveside services will be held at the Arthur Cemetery, Arthur, IL

John was born on September 18, 1942 in Joliet, the son of John E. and Jean Vander Boegh Pourchot.

Survivors include his son: Bret Pourchot of Bement, daughter: Heather Pourchot of Russellville, KY, granddaughters: Brittney and Brei, brother: George Pourchot of Decatur and sister: Kathy Casteel and husband Keith of Decatur, several nephews.

John graduated from Eastern Illinois University and served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an accountant for many years.
