John J. Hausman, 34, of Odgen, IL, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Tuscola First Christian Church, 100 East Church Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Tim Barber officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 pm, Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the church. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pesotum, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is handling the arrangements.

John was born on November 27, 1977 in Urbana, IL, the son of Joseph A. and Cathy J. Prosser Hausman. He married Kimberly A. Barber on July 3, 1999 in Champaign, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include his sons: Cade and Brody both at home, his parents of Pesotum, IL, brother: Ron Hausman of Champaign, IL, inlaws: Jay and Melody Barber of Tuscola, IL, brother-in-law: Travis Barber of Champaign, IL, paternal grandmother: Nancy Hausman of Tuscola, IL, maternal grandparents: Ronald and Velma Prosser of Noble, IL, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: John J. Hausman of Tuscola and uncle: Tom Hausman.

John worked as a civil engineer for Applied Research Associates in Champaign. He graduated from Unity High School Class of 1995. He received his master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois in December 2000. John was an Eagle Scout. He loved coaching youth sports which included soccer, baseball and basketball. John was a huge Fighting Illini fan.
