John F. Geese, 76, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 12:32 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Patty Johansen officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Military Rites will be accorded at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
Mr. Geese was born on June 27, 1935 in Cambridge, OH, the son of David G. and Martha E. Lawrence Geese. He married Beverly J. McCall on March 17, 1956 in Covington, IN. She survives.
Other survivors include a son: Richard J. Geese and wife: Tonya of Mahomet, IL, 2 daughters: Janet C. Cowley of Tuscola, IL and Karen J. Dukeman and husband: Joe of Atwood, IL, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, sister: Elizabeth Ann McNemar of Cambridge, OH, Special Dog: Peanut
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson: Chris Cowley.
Mr. Geese retired from Humko in Champaign, IL. He was a US Air Force Veteran. John liked to visit with his many friends.
