John Wayne Dallas, 69, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St., Tuscola, IL with the Rev. Patty Johansen officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Cartwright Cemetery, rural Tuscola, IL with military graveside rites accorded.
Mr. Dallas was born July 4, 1940 in Tuscola, IL, the son of John W. and Alice Marie Jacobs Dallas.
Survivors include: 1 Son: John W. Dallas, Jr. of Atwood, IL; 1 Daughter: Georgia Sanders of Tolono, IL; 2 Sisters: Nancy Hibbard of Geneva, NY and Pam Ernst of Sullivan, IL; 2 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandson.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
John retired from Progress Industries in Arthur, IL. He was a US Army Veteran and he was a member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge.
Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola Moose Lodge.
