Joan Mattingly, 70, of Oakland, IL, died at 5:03 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center, Mattoon, IL

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Arcola Township Cemetery, Arcola, IL, with Rev. Joseph Carter officiating. No visitation will be held. Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, IL is entrusted with the arrangements.

Joan was born on January 15, 1944 in Red Boiling Springs, TN, the daughter of Samuel and Delcia Mae Cross Adkins. She married Thomas Mattingly on April 18, 1980 in Owensboro, KY. He survives.

Other survivors include stepson: Thomas Mattingly, Jr. of Owensboro, KY, stepdaughters: Mary Thompson of TN and Anna Fuqua of Philpot, KY, 12 grandchildren, brothers: Robert Adkins of Ashmore, IL, Tim Adkins of Longview, IL, and Henry Adkins of Villa Grove, IL, sister: Linda Walters of Broadlands, IL,

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Dan Adkins and sister: Robbie Sue Ingram

Joan was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kemp Church of Christ.
