Joan Cecelia Carter passed away on April 2, 2016 at her home in Tuscola, Illinois. She was 76.
Joan was born on October 22, 1939 in Sangerville, Maine, to Raynold and Regina LaBree. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gary and Paul, and a sister, Donna.
She is survived by her husband, Albert E. Carter and seven children: Curt (Debbie) Carter, Ray (Ann) Carter, Jay (Becky) Carter, Larry (Sue) Carter, Trudy (Ron) Thomas, Bruce Carter & Jill Hughes, and Brian (Sherry) Carter. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her dog Buddy, sister Kathy McAlpine, and brother Bobby LaBree.
Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Reverend Joe Carter will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Donations can be made in her memory to Rainbow Hospice & Palliative Care, 1550 Bishop Court, Mount Prospect, IL 60056
