Jimmee Barger, 71, of Atwood, IL, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 26, 2017.

Jimmee was born on November 8, 1946, the daughter of Jim and Evelyn (Brady) Sullender. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She married Bob Barger on September 8, 1989. He survives along with 7 children: Debra (Strohl) Carillo, Tonya (Strohl) Davis, Stevie Seitz-Coleman, Marty Seitz, Jennifer (Barger) Vaughn, Brandy (Barger) Davis and Barbara Ann Barger, 14 grandchildren: Kacy, Kenzie, Taylor, Jordan, Landon, Dayton, Devyon, Hannah, Jalen, Zoe, Ava, Kadence, Khloe and Livi, 5 great-grandchildren: Josie, Jaden, Ryker, Lilah and Jaxson, 3 brothers: Bob (Sue) Sullender of Bement, Kevin Sullender of Villa Grove and Mike (Donna King) Sullender of Tuscola.

Jimmee's passion was helping others, especially the elderly. She worked at the Arthur Home, Garden Place Senior Living, assisted living facility in Red Bud, IL and the Red Bud Regional Hospital for much of her 70 years.

She loved old country music, all sports and especially St. Louis Cardinal's Baseball.

Jimmee's main enjoyment in life was her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of the RAJAH Moms when AHHS won the State 1A football championship, member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the United Church of Atwood.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or American Red Cross.

Services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL with Rev. Mike Drake officiating.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
