James R. "Jim" England, 81, of Tolono, IL passed away at 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Arbor Rose of Tolono.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorials Garden, Champaign, IL with military graveside rites accorded.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Mr. England was born June 27, 1941 in Breckinridge County, KY the son of Bryce and Grace Emery England.  He married Wilma Trader on May 14, 1992 in Mansfield, IL.  She preceded him in death on January 31, 2023.

Jim is survived by his daughter: Shari (Michael) Upton of Mattoon, stepson: Doug (Betty) Butler of Sarasota, FL, stepdaughter: Lisa Butler of Tolono, grandchildren: Nathan Upton and Sara Upton both of Mattoon, step-grandchildren: Jamie (Heather) Caldwell of Sarasota, FL, Kyle Butler of Sarasota, FL, and Barry Caldwell of Delaware, OH, great-grandsons: Grayson and Jakobi Upton, step-great-grandchildren: Skylar Caldwell of Sarasota, FL, Jay Lyndsey and Joseph Caldwell of Delaware , OH, brothers: Cecil England and Paul England and a sister: Mary England.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, great-granddaughter: Esme Emberlynne Essence Upton, a brother: Ed England and a sister: Dorothy Bratcher.

Jim was a 1959 graduate of Hawesville High School, Hawesville, KY.  He served his country in the United States Air Force.  He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, Champaign, IL.  Jim enjoyed fishing, golfing, spending time with his family and traveling to Florida in the winter.
